Summer Fancy Food Show 2019, NY USA

For decades, the Summer Fancy Food Show has been the largest specialty food show in North America. First organized in 1952, the Fancy Food Show attracts buyers not only from the US but from other parts of the world such as Canada, Europe and China into a one-of- a-kind tradeshow held in New York City.

The exhibition has hosted more than 2,600 exhibiting companies from 54 countries around the world, attended by more than 34,000 visitors. Exhibiting sectors includes artisanal, beverages, cocktail drink mixes, condiments, GMO and gluten-free, ethnic foods, frozen desserts and entrees, organic and natural and nut butters.

Educational activities are held throughout the show, such as general industry sessions, webinars and conferences. Many key issues and topics are discussed in these sessions, such as diet trends and how to stay relevant with specialty food, real food alternatives to drugs, the future of alternative meats, and how to appeal to the next generation with plant-based foods.

Current food trends can also be observed at the New York Summer Fancy Food Show. For instance, there has been a strong upward trend in the sales for specialty food and beverage products. This has led to more product innovation and a more varied and broader selection of specialty foods. Besides that, consumers have showed an increased interest in plant-based foods, as well as seeking plant-based meat alternatives.
