CP Halal Maltose
Maltose is a malt sugar or high viscosity syrup processed by a purely natural fermentation process. Maltose is an all-natural sweetener produced from distilling fermentation. Also sometimes called malt syrup or malt sugar. This syrup is a yellow-coloured syrup which has a sweet taste, but less sweet than sugar or honey depending on the concentration. It does a good job in preventing crystallization in other sugars, so it is often used in making marinated meat, biscuit, sauces and cake.
To ensure our products are safe to consume, our maltose is processed by purely natural fermentation. At the best ratio, wheat, starch and enzyme are fermented for 24 hours through conversion process-concentration and filtration to produce a good quality maltose.
Maltose syrup is often used in processing chocolate, candy, roasted chicken, traditional biscuit and paste. This syrup has the capacity of extending the shelf life of a food product when added, as well as give glossiness and shiny surface to food products. It has a good fermentation ability, so is widely used in the production of bread, cake and beverages. Moreover, due to the thick consistency, maltose syrup gives BBQ food a better glaze that sticks to the surface and help in retaining moisture of food. For biscuits the most common way it is applied is to put a layer of maltose in between two pieces of biscuits (usually crackers).
