The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) is the world’s largest Halal event, serving as a global gathering for local and international businesses in the Halal industry. The event targets the Islamic and Halal consumer market, which includes food and beverage, cosmetics, Halal ingredients, tourism, finance and more. In preparation for the upcoming MIHAS exhibition, an exhibitor briefing was conducted on 23 August 2024 at Menara MATRADE in Kuala Lumpur.

The briefing commenced with a welcoming address delivered by YBhg. Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of MATRADE. This was followed by a comprehensive overview of MIHAS 2024 and exhibitor manual briefing, presented by Mr Yuhanis Latif, Director of Business Events at Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

The 2024 edition of MIHAS is expected to attract over 40,000 visitors from 45 countries. The event will also include the International Sourcing Programme (INSP), in which MATRADE connects international buyers with Malaysian exporters. This year’s INSP will host 230 physical buyers and 250 virtual buyers, with the top buyers originating from China, Bangladesh and Cambodia. There will also be 20 premium buyers from 13 countries. The premium buyers will be targeting food and beverage products, gloves, pharmaceuticals, toiletries and cosmetics, palm oil products, and packaging and containers.

As outlined in the operational schedule, exhibitors will be able to access the exhibition area on 16 September 2024 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, with registration available from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The MIHAS exhibition will feature a variety of events and activities, such as the World Halal Business Conference, International Programmes, Brazil Networking Day, MIHAS Cooking Demonstration, MIHAS Corner Pocket Talks, MIHAS Knowledge Hub, MIHAS Awards and more.
