Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) was founded by Shapers Malaysia in 2004. In 2008, ownership of this event was transferred to the Malaysian government under the auspices of the Malaysia External Trade and Development Corporation (MATRADE). MIHAS is the halal industry's number one business platform - an annual 4-day trade exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

MIHAS was founded with the purpose of protecting and promoting the halal industry not only in Malaysia, but globally as well. The exhibition will also encourage cross-border trade, boosting Malaysia’s trade industry.

MIHAS has attracted 778 companies from 32 countries, which includes Singapore, China, South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Russia, Italy, New Zealand and others. Exhibited sectors includes food and beverage, Islamic finance, education, pharmaceuticals, services and enablers, franchise, modest fashion, cosmetics and personal care, media and recreation, Muslim friendly travel, e-commerce and food technology.

At MIHAS, businesses can connect with others physically or virtually. Business matching sessions have also been arranged by MIHAS to help exhibitors connect with potential buyers and customers. Besides that, the exhibition will be hosting knowledge sharing sessions, conferences and industry zones led by industry experts and market leaders.
